It’s time to change your current plans and head to The Toast of the Coast Wine Competition and Festival on Saturday, June 8 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds! From wine tasting to Culinary Creations to purchasing wine schwag, this festival will be full of fun and not be something you’ll want to miss out on. Drink Up
Wine is best enjoyed when you take your time and are enjoying yourself, so there’s no need to hurry! This isn’t a competition for who can gulp down their vino the fastest! This is a chance for you to sip and sample many different kinds of wines.
Your general admission ticket includes unlimited 1-oz samples of wines that were entered into the competition. We’re talking over 130 wines to taste! The best advice we can give you ... drink responsibly and have a blast out in the warm San Diego weather!
The wine and weather aren’t the only things you’ll have to look forward to this weekend while at the festival – the landscape is perfect as well. Located in the Paul Ecke Jr. Garden Show of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, you’ll get to soak in all the gorgeous home garden sights as well as the sun! Sip in the serene nature while you relax to a wine tasting.
Ride and Explore
If you love trying new foods, the Toast of the Coast Festival is exactly where you need to be. Stop at any of the 5 specialty cheese stations to pair some bites with the wine you’re drinking and get educated by the cheese experts. You can even enjoy more educational courses and then peruse the custom wine barrels.
Also, when you purchase a ticket to the festival, you’ll also get admission into the San Diego County Fair that is happening at the same time! If you’re into live music, the fair will have Neil Sedaka perform that evening, but if you’d rather do some exploring and walking around, check out the Goat Playground, the Bonsai Tree and Tray Landscapes, the Photography Exhibition, or even a Car Show. And when you want to do something to really boost your adrenaline, try some of the rides out. You’ll want to take full advantage while at the largest County Fair in North America!
